The Monki autumn campaign was shot in Paris. Thick air, old buildings, nonstop noise. Fil Xiaobai moved through the city with her natural confidence. Working with Jesse Laitinen was great, his playful energy always adds something extra. The best moments were between takes, when everything relaxed. Fil drifted off, lighting a cigarette while the city kept moving around her. Voices overlapping, cars passing, heels hitting stone. Our styling pad was squeezed into a narrow Paris backyard. A woman living there stepped out with her tiny dog, strutting like local celebrities and briefly stealing the show.
