The Paris Edit
This Monki autumn campaign was shot in Paris. Crisp air, historic facades, and the city’s constant noise set the scene as Fil Xiaobai moved through the streets with effortless cool. Working with Jesse Laitinen again, his playful character always brings something extra. I enjoy the moments between shots, when the guard drops and talent simply is, Fil lost in thought, lighting a cigarette as the city swirled around her. Paris leaned in with its soundtrack of overlapping conversations, heavy traffic, and heels on old stone. Our styling pad was squeezed into a narrow Parisian backyard, where a woman and her tiny dog strutted in like local celebrities, briefly stealing the show.
